Summary: Joonmyun is woefully single and Jongin just can't stop meddling
Author's Note: I should be focusing on my Nano plot, but then my feels take over.
It isn't that Joonmyun doesn't want a relationship, but when Jongin keeps insisting on setting him up on one failed date after another, despair takes hold and the idea of another awkward conversation in a crowded restaurant makes him feel nauseous. Defying Jongin's wishes, however, isn't something so easily done. He tries to put up a fight, he really does, but Jongin forcibly dresses him and shoves him into his car with a sloppy grin on his stupid face and Joonmyun embraces his fate because the last thing he needs is his best friend towing his car to the date to make sure he arrives. It's a place he hasn't eaten in before and his mind starts wondering how many restaurants there are in the city and if he'll manage to find himself in each one with a different person before insanity kicks in and he ends up locking himself away for the rest of his life. Being a shut-in couldn't possibly be worse than this.
"Joonmyun?" The voice is soft and questioning and he turns toward it, looking into a pair of pretty eyes. A smile tugs on the corners of his mouth as he tries to remember the name Jongin texted him earlier that day.
"Luhan," he says a few beats later, the other man returning the smile and nodding his head. "It's nice to meet you."
"Jongin's told me a lot about you." Crap. Joonmyun allows himself to be lead into the restaurant, the hostess seating them near a corner so there is relative privacy. The awkward silence that surrounds every first date settles around them once they order their drinks, Luhan tapping against his napkin covered utensils and Joonmyun contemplating ways of murdering Jongin without getting caught. It's the second part he's having the most trouble with.
"So how do you know Jongin?" It's his usual ice-breaker because every single date he's been on has been with someone Jongin knows. Maybe that's the reason they all fail. Jongin. He mentally throttles the man while simultaneously keeping a smile plastered on his face.
"I don't really know him that well. I just cut his hair."
Jongin set him up with his hairdresser. Joonmyun can feel his eye twitching in irritation and he can only hope Luhan isn't perceptive enough to notice.
"Hello, my name is Baekhyun and I'll be your waiter this evening."
Life is playing a cruel joke on him. Taking the menu from their waiter, he attempts to hide his face, but of course he's not lucky enough for that to actually work. It would be too simple.
He winces and lowers the plastic coated shield, sending his ex-boyfriend a tight smile while trying his best to not make eye-contact. Baekhyun is beaming at him though, his eyes curled into familiar crescents.
"It's so good to see you again!"
"You look well," he replies politely enough, eyes catching Luhan fidgeting uncomfortably from across the table. "Can we have a minute before we order?"
Baekhyun's eyes flit between the two figures at the table before narrowing and his smile falters. "Is this a date?"
"Yes, yes it is."
Oh how Joonmyun wishes Luhan hadn't said that. He knows Baekhyun well enough that when he gets that sugary sweet smile on his face, nothing will stop the impending doom and he feels himself slide down a little in his chair. "Well, I'll be back after you love birds decide what you'd like."
There's a thick tension permeating the air now and Joonmyun feels every part of his body wanting to just run. Luhan is eyeing him and it's doing nothing to settle his nerves.
"Were you two - ?"
"Long time ago."
Luhan's only response is a knowing hum and Joonmyun really wants to know what that means, but he's buried his face in the menu. So Joonmyun follows his lead, concentrating far too hard on the list of main courses because he just wants to skip the appetizers to get this evening over and done with. The silence doesn't let up until Baekhyun returns, taking their orders and flouncing off with what Joonmyun considers too much pep in his step. The night has gone from awkward to terrifying in the span of a few minutes and it's completely Jongin's fault because he's the one who set him up with Baekhyun in the first place. Luhan looks like he's about to bolt and he really can't blame him.
This is where he would normally try to start out with the small questions about jobs and hobbies and other superficial things that usually don't matter, but with the way Luhan's looking everywhere but at him, it's already a loss. When their food arrives, Joonmyun finds himself shocked to see Baekhyun sit in an unoccupied chair at their table, elbows propped on the white tablecloth and his chin perched atop his hands. He's turned toward Luhan, that telling smile on his face and Joonmyun thinks he's going to be sick.
"Don't you have a job to do?" he grits out.
"I'm on break." Baekhyun waves a hand in his direction as a symbol of dismissal. "I can totally see why he asked you out," comes the uninvited visitor's lilting voice. "If your hair was darker you'd kind of favor me."
"What the hell, Baek?"
But he's ignored and Luhan's eyes have grown to twice their size, a flush spreading across his cheeks. "How many dates have you been on? Has he gotten to the part where he's an insecure lying bastard yet?"
Luhan gasps and Joonmyun reaches over and grabs Baekhyun's wrist to get his attention. The other man simply twists his arm away and gives him a kittenish grin. "What's the matter? Hit a nerve?"
Joonmyun isn't paying attention to the hand playing with the side of his plate until two fingers hook under the edge and flip it up, covering his lap in his still hot dinner. There's a moment when his mind tries to reason why the fates are against him as he jumps to his feet. The food slides down onto the floor, his pants and shirt covered in sauce and he flicks a glare up at Baekhyun who is still wearing that smile. The situation has managed to cause quite a commotion with the other patrons and a few staff members. One of them rushes over with a towel and thrusts it into Joonmyun's hands.
"I'm so sorry sir."
"You shouldn't be so clumsy, silly," Baekhyun says right after standing. He plucks the towel from his hand and lowers to his knees so he can clean off the mess. At this point Joonmyun is a trembling combination of embarrassment and fury. He slaps Baekhyun's hand away as it presses down roughly on the crotch of his pants.
"I'm so done." His voice comes out as a growl and he steps away from Baekhyun, grabbing Luhan by the arm and hoisting him out of the chair so they can get the hell out of there. He may not really be interested in the guy, but he isn't about to leave him in the clutches of his evil ex either. A man invades his space, stepping in front of him so they have to stop.
"I apologize for the accident, sir. Please, if you'd like to stay, your meal is on us tonight."
Joonmyun snorts because, in fact, the meal is on him. The 'manager' tag on the man's shirt does catch his eye though and for a moment he toys with getting Baekhyun fired, letting his employer know just how much of a sadistic little shit he is. But he doesn't. Joonmyun likes to think he's evolved passed that petty revenge stage. So he neatly sidesteps the portly man in his path and continues in quick strides until they're outside and he can finally breathe again. Luhan tugs and he relinquishes his hold on his arm with a muttered apology.
"Let's just chalk this up to wrong place, wrong time, ok?"
Luhan is only too eager to agree, nodding quickly before turning and nearly running the opposite direction. Now if only he could run from himself that quickly.
Joonmyun is glowering, forehead furrowed and a scowl settled on his mouth as Jongin prattles on and on about his weekend with his boyfriend; his boyfriend that he's been with for three years, the love of his life, his sex god and soul mate and Joonmyun really doesn't want to hear about it anymore. He's been silent about his date and now he's being tortured because Jongin knows how much he hates it when he gushes and since they're trapped together at work it's not like he can run far enough away. Pulling open his drawer, he picks up his dry cleaning bill and tucks it into Jongin's front shirt pocket before walking off.
"That bad?" Jongin calls after him.
Jongin makes an attempt to make it up to him by taking him out for a few drinks after work. Of course the ulterior motive is obvious, but Joonmyun is beyond caring now. Get a few drinks in him and he'll tell you absolutely everything you want to know and quite a few things you don't want. The bar is mostly empty and they're both nursing a third beer, some terrible outdated song playing in the background.
"Baekhyun Baekhyun? Like, psychotic ex-boyfriend who tried to keep you locked in a bathroom Baekhyun?"
"You're the one that set me up with him."
"Yeah, but that's before I knew he was an obsessive little fucker."
"I'm going to die alone and it will be your fault."
"You'll still have me."
"And if I wanted to have sex with you that would be fine and dandy, but I don't so please stop trying to force me into dating."
Jongin pats him on the thigh comfortingly, resting his head on Joonmyun's shoulder with a sympathetic smile on his face. "If you won't let me find you a boyfriend at least let me get you laid."
"I trust you even less with my dick."
"So that's a yes?"
"I hate you." Blissful silence falls around them and after finishing off his beer, Joonmyun pulls Jongin to his feet.
"I hear your balls shrivel up if you don't have sex for a long time."
The guy is such a light weight and he has to half drag, half carry his ass out to the cab. Wufan, the ever stoic boyfriend, is waiting outside to pull Jongin out of the car because Joonmyun is a fabulous friend who calls ahead. That and he didn't want to carry Jongin up three flights of stairs. At least his apartment building has a functioning elevator, one that he kisses when he shuffles inside, tripping over the edge of the green carpet just a little.
He knows Jongin was only teasing, but that doesn't stop him from performing a thorough inspection of his balls in the shower that night.
That whole it always happens when you least expect it crap is cliche and trite, yet it bites Joonmyun in the ass anyway. He's in the grocery store, trying to figure out if he should purchase a prepackaged bag of oranges for a cheaper price per fruit, or buy them individually, however more expensive per unit, because he's not sure if he can eat the bagged ones completely before they go bad. Something solid hits him in the back and he starts tipping forward, unable to keep his balance until two large, and very warm, hands grab his waist and pull him upright. Joonmyun's heart is fluttering in his chest and he feels a bit light headed from the sudden attack of adrenaline.
"Thank you," he says breathlessly before turning his head to see his rescuer.
"Don't thank me yet," a deep voice responds. "Didn't mean to run into you."
The hands release him and Joonmyun finally gets a good look at the guy, suddenly wishing he hadn't let go. He's met with a large, lopsided grin attached to a head of unruly hair that he has to look up to see. His stomach does a sort of flip that kinda makes him feel like he needs to sit down, but that could be because of the adrenaline running through his veins. "Still," Joonmyun says before clearing his throat. "You didn't have to catch me."
"What kind of gentleman would I be if I let a nice shirt like that get ruined with orange pulp?"
A genuine smile graces Joonmyun's face and it feels like its been forever since someone other than Jongin has been able to do that. He manages to turn back to the oranges after the other guy walks off with a wink, a blush starting to creep into his cheeks. Individual oranges it is.
It's not until he's walking down the cereal aisle that he spots him again, having to make an abrupt stop to not send his cart smashing into his ankles. He's stammering an apology before he looks up to see the same smiling face and crazy hair. Their eyes lock for a moment before they both just start laughing. Joonmyun's mostly laughing out of embarrassment, but it doesn't matter because this guy has a really nice laugh. He apologizes again before steering around him and down further to pick out an inconspicuous box of cereal.
The Deli is where they make their final stand, Joonmyun eyeing the cupcakes and the other guy playfully bouncing the end of his cart against his ass as he bends over. Joonmyun stands up with a start, eyes darting around to find the perpetrator. And there he is, all smiles and his heart starts pitter-pattering.
"We should really stop meeting like this."
Joonmyun tries so very hard not to smile, but he can't help it, the grin stretching across his face almost so wide it hurts.
"This makes three times. Maybe it's fate."
Joonmyun quirks an eyebrow at him because fate is a load of shit. The man walks around his cart and extends a hand, which Joonmyun gladly takes. "Park Chanyeol."
"Kim Joonmyun." Perhaps he should rethink this fate thing.
"Well, Kim Joonmyun," Chanyeol starts before dragging the other man forward a little by his hand. "Would you like to have coffee with me?"
Joonmyun can't think of one damn reason to say no. They wind up in the same check out lane and Joonmyun even loiters around long enough to help bag Chanyeol's groceries before they wheel their buggies out into the parking lot. Chanyeol pushes with his foot and hops up to ride his cart down the hill, only jumping off to stop his impending impact with a light pole.
They meet up at Joonmyun's car to exchange phone numbers which is more of a Chanyeol plucking his phone out of his hand to add in his number and call himself after.
"There's this really great coffee place I know. I'll send you the address."
Joonmyun attempts to suppress his excitement, only lightly bouncing on his heels in delight as he watches Chanyeol's face. It's a really great face. "When are we going?" He is so thankful his voice isn't trembling because he thinks the rest of him is.
"Would now be too soon?" Chanyeol looks so hopeful and he almost says yes.
"My frozens are melting," comes his wistful reply.
"An hour then?"
Recognition tugs at his mind and Joonmyun remembers he's been to this particular coffee shop before, which just so happens to be a relief because he knows there are no psycho ex-boyfriends waiting to dump scalding coffee over his head. Step one to a successful semi-date complete. He's peering around, trying to catch a glimpse of the other party and he's so tuned out to everything else that he jumps when a hand lands on his shoulder. There's a heat crawling into his skin at the touch and he just knows it's Chanyeol behind him.
"There you are. I almost thought you'd not show."
Joonmyun scratches at the back of his neck sheepishly, wondering if this entire situation could be read as desperate because he just met this guy in a grocery store an hour and a half ago. But Chanyeol doesn't seem to mind, making his way to the counter to order with Joonmyun right behind him. Playing the gentleman card again, he lets Joonmyun order first and then dutifully pays after.
It would be a lie to say he wasn't waiting for it, that awkward silence to descend on them as soon as they were seated at one of the small tables for two. But then Chanyeol just starts talking, smile lines around his eyes and that deep voice hovering in the air like a warm blanket.
"How long have you been single? Cause I'm not a rebound kind of guy."
Joonmyun exhales slowly, eyes drawn to his companion's fingers wrapped casually around his paper cup. "A year and a half almost. I've had a dozen or so first dates since then, but no seconds."
"That's a lot of dating."
"My friend, and I use that term loosely, is determined to set me up with everyone he knows." And then a moment of panic. "You don't happen to know someone named Jongin, do you?"
Chanyeol shakes his head, hair falling in his eyes. "Nope," he affirms, popping the 'p' at the end.
"Oh good." And relief floods his system because he wouldn't have put it passed Jongin to toss someone in his path purposely. "And you?"
"I've been avoiding dating for a while, actually."
"So why me?"
"If I said I really like the way your jeans look on you from the back and your smile makes my stomach flop, would that send you running?"
Joonmyun has to catch his breath because if he was expecting anything, it wasn't that and it's kind of hard to believe. And although Chanyeol is smiling, there's no mockery or teasing there. Just honesty. A flush spreads up his neck and invades his face as he ducks his head. A foot nudges his and he looks up at Chanyeol's questioning face. "No. Not running yet." That seems to be the right answer because Chanyeol is beaming at him again and it sends another wave of heat to his cheeks.
Chanyeol is a breath of fresh air, the tremors of nervousness fading away until Joonmyun is left with a pleasant buzzing in the pit of his stomach and a smile glued to his face. They talk about their jobs, their hobbies, their favorite foods and Joonmyun has to resist the itch to grab Chanyeol's hand when the other man touches his fingers for a moment during his excitement over their shared love of B-rated horror flicks. He is nothing like anyone he's dated before which could possibly make him perfect.
"Have dinner with me tonight."
They're standing outside, Joonmyun with his hands shoved in his pockets as he squints up at the taller man. "Ok," is all he can manage to breathe.
"So?" Jongin is leaning on his desk, broad smile gracing his face as his eyebrows wiggle up and down. "Who is he?"
"Who is who?"
Joonmyun doesn't have the chance to put up even a mild fight when two of Jongin's fingers slip just under the collar of his shirt and tap against his sensitive skin. He swats the hand away, but it doesn't stop the heat from infusing his face because the memory of how he was graced with that hickey is flooding back.
Chanyeol had walked him to his car after dinner, their shoulders brushing but neither of them moving away from the touch. "I'd like to see you again," the taller man said before Joonmyun turned and leaned back against his car door. He was swinging his arm nervously and every now and then their fingers would brush. So Joonmyun hooked his fingers in Chanyeol's, stopping the movement and making the other man look at him wide-eyed.
"I'd like that too."
All he had seen was a smiling face leaning in before he was being kissed. Chanyeol's lips were warm and soft and it sent a wave of longing all the way down to his toes as they curled in his shoes. A large hand settled on his neck, the touch more akin to a caress, sending a chill along his skin. It had been so long since he'd been touched, let alone kissed by someone and it wasn't until now that he realized how much he missed it. Chanyeol rearranged their interlocked hands, lacing their fingers together and squeezing as he pulled his mouth away only to kiss him again with more force.
Joonmyun slumped back onto the car door more as he raised his free hand to curl in Chanyeol's hair because he'd been wanting to do just that for the last hour. He heard a deep rumble in the other man's chest before Chanyeol's tongue licked its way into his mouth and now it's Joonmyun letting out a small groan. It's hard remembering to breathe through your nose when it feels like someone's trying to steal your soul through a kiss.
Maybe it's because it'd been too long since he'd been this close with someone, but it didn't bother him when Chanyeol kissed him again and again, stealing his breath and making his stomach churn with want. It didn't bother him when Chanyeol's kisses landed on his neck either, nipping lightly as Joonmyun tilted his head to the side and tightened his grip in the other man's hair. His knees almost gave out when teeth sank into the skin near his shoulder and he was too far gone to be embarrassed by the whimper he let out. If it weren't for the loud clang of a car door shutting near them Joonmyun probably would have let Chanyeol take him right there in the parking lot.
Chanyeol's face was a wonderful shade of pink and his lips were redder than before as they just stared at each other after jumping apart. "So, um, tomorrow night?"
Jongin is pouting and it's unattractive. "Oh come on! I've dedicated the best years of my life trying to find the perfect guy for you!"
"You've dedicated your life to making mine a hell."
"Only out of love." It's impossible to handle a petulant Jongin when he decides to sit in your lap until you give in. "What's he like?"
"Chanyeol is gorgeous and funny and amazing and you know the best thing about him? He has NOTHING to do with you!"
"So when can I meet him?"
It takes a solid four more dates across the span of five days for Joonmyun to work up the courage to get Chanyeol in his apartment with the oh so clever excuse of coffee even though it's nine o'clock on a Friday night. He's turning the ringer off on his cellphone because Jongin's been calling almost nonstop but then Chanyeol's plucking the device out of his hand and kissing him. Yeah, ok, this is good. He doesn't even bother to start slow, parting his lips with an insistent tongue and hands already slipping under Joonmyun's shirt to rest on his waist. Not that he minds very much when Chanyeol backs him into the counter and presses a thigh between his legs. His hands are in the other man's hair again and he's beginning to realize that he really really enjoys the feel of the strands between his fingers, so he balls his fingers and tugs a little. Chanyeol's groan is delicious and their lips part.
"Bedroom?" he pants and Joonmyun pushes him enough to escape and lead the way into his room. He turns around in time for Chanyeol to grab the hem of his shirt and lift. Together they tug his shirt off, followed by Chanyeol's before their lips reconnect. Chanyeol's backing them up slowly and it isn't until Joonmyun's legs hit the bed that he starts to panic.
"It's been a long time since I've done this," he confesses.
"I'll be gentle."
The large hands on his waist tighten their grip and he loses his bearings as his feet leave the floor and he flies through the air for a moment before landing on the bed. His jaw drops and he looks up at Chanyeol with surprise. There's a wicked grin on his face as he crawls up and Joonmyun feels a shiver of anticipation run down his spine. Oh hell yes.
Joonmyun never figured he was one who liked being tossed around - he'd always done the tossing - but the way Chanyeol is man-handling him has him more turned on than he's ever been. They're both a bit frantic as they disrobe, Joonmyun unable to stop the laugh bubbling up when the teeth of Chanyeol's zipper get stuck and it takes a combined effort to get him out of his pants. Chanyeol nearly crushes him as he kicks out of his jeans, which is alright because there's a thigh rubbing against his arousal and it makes him hiss, his grip on the other man's arm tightening. He thinks Chanyeol mumbles some kind of apology, but it gets lost somewhere between Chanyeol fitting his body between his legs and Joonmyun pulling him down by his hair for another air stealing kiss.
The first time Chanyeol rolls his hips down, Joonmyun has to pull away because his back arches and his head falls back as he moans. Wow, it's been a long time since anything other than his hand has touched his dick and it's really embarrassing that he's so sensitive. Chanyeol doesn't stop, only adding to the pleasure by attaching his mouth to the side of Joonmyun's neck and all he can do is hold on to the hair in his fists because it's overwhelming. It's not long before Joonmyun releases his hold and starts swatting at Chanyeol's arm, chanting for him to stop. His body feels like it's on fire and the room is too hot and he's already panting, and god he just wants to be fucked right now. He wants to feel Chanyeol all over him and it's a desire that's probably written on his face because the other man seems to get it. He slips his hand under the pillow and finds the lube and condom he stashed there earlier before pushing them into Chanyeol's hand.
Chanyeol is a damn tease, tracing slowly from the tip of Joonmyun's erection all the way to the base with a lubed finger before he circles it around his entrance. As much as Joonmyun appreciates the intent behind going slow, he really doesn't have the patience right now. Chanyeol's finger isn't small and he can't help the pained noise he makes when it finally pushes through. It's familiar and strange all at once, memories of a similar pain clouded as he adjusts and his breathing calms to a normal pace.
"I'm not going to break," he breathes. "Move."
He might have been a little premature in his statement, the pain still clinging to him as Chanyeol begins moving it in and out of him slowly. A few deep breaths later and he unclenches his thighs, helping things move along a lot smoother. The first time he lets out a moan of pleasure, Chanyeol rushes forward to kiss him. Joonmyun lets himself be distracted with the tongue in his mouth, sucking on it gently as Chanyeol works him open, sliding in a second digit. By the time a third finger is gliding in and out, he's a sweaty mess, moaning and pushing his hips to meet each thrust of those wonderfully long fingers. This feels a lot better than he remembers and he needs more because his cock is starting to hurt and Chanyeol is so beautiful with his curls starting to straighten and stick to his skin with sweat, his bottom lip in his teeth and his arm flexed to keep him propped up.
Between the two of them they manage to roll on the condom and overly lube Chanyeol's dick, which Joonmyun definitely oogles because wow. It takes everything he has to not tense when he feels the tip of Chanyeol's cock press against him and he holds his breath as his eyes squeeze shut. The excess lube is helping, his cock sliding in with minimal discomfort even as Chanyeol pushes a hand against his inner thigh so he spreads out further. Everything stops when he's in as far as he can go and Joonmyun locks eyes with the man over him. He knows he's not ready, but he lifts his hips anyway because Chanyeol has been attentive and careful and he wants to make him feel damn good. Chanyeol's eyes widen as Joonmyun inhales sharply and does it again. It takes him moaning Chanyeol's name once for him to start moving with him, setting a faster pace as his fingers dig into Joonmyun's thighs. The pleasure overrides the pain surprisingly fast, something he attributes to Chanyeol taking such good care of him and - whoa.
Joonmyun's back arches off the bed and his mouth drops to let out a moan that dies in his throat because he needs to breathe. Fingers claw into the sheets as his body tenses from the pleasure racing through him so suddenly. He scrambles forward, lifting enough to pull Chanyeol's face down to his because he needs something real to hold on to. He tangles his hands in the damp curls on the back of his neck, enjoying the feel of them sifting through his fingers as Chanyeol plunges in and out of him at a fast pace. When he thrusts in particularly deep, Joonmyun's back arches again and Chanyeol wraps an arm under him, hauling the smaller man up until he's sitting on his lap.
They maneuver quickly until he's straddling Chanyeol, still refusing to let go of his hair as he sinks back down on his cock. Chanyeol's gruff moans hit his ears every time he slides all the way to the hilt and the feel of his hot breath against his neck heightens everything. It's a good thing Chanyeol is helping lift his weight because his thighs are already starting to burn from the quick pace they've set. His orgasm hits him out of nowhere, like the snap of a whip and he inadvertently jerks Chanyeol's head back by his hair when he does. His eyes roll back and he stops breathing until it peaks and the pressure releases, his fingers and nose tingling.
He buries his head in the other man's neck as he keeps bouncing on his lap, small twitches making his muscles clench and tense around the cock still inside him. It feels so good it borders on pain as each aftershock wracks through him, Chanyeol having to do more of the work because he just doesn't have the energy anymore. Joonmyun hears a growl and he clenches hard, thighs squeezing and hips rolling down roughly as Chanyeol finally comes.
"I'm going to have a bald patch if you don't let go," Chanyeol says with a chuckle after they've managed to regulate their breathing. Oh! He reluctantly lets go of the hair in his hands and Chanyeol pulls his face forward for a slow kiss that makes his heart speed up all over again.
Joonmyun wakes up to kisses being peppered along his jaw and a hand squeezing along his half hard cock. He's on his side with Chanyeol pressed against his back and he tries to move but the other man won't let him. A soft, satisfied sigh falls from his lips and he just allows Chanyeol's unbelievably warm hand to work along his shaft until he's completely hard. This is the best wake up call he's ever had and it's definitely something he can get used to.
The rough pad of his thumb drags slowly across the crown of his cock and Joonmyun lets out a soft moan, pushing his hips forward for more. Chanyeol stops his movement and Joonmyun can feel the smile on his mouth as he whispers in his ear. "Relax. Just let me." He shudders, but nods slightly as he works on holding still.
Chanyeol jerks him off languidly, his tugs and squeezes never as hard as Joonmyun wants and he can feel himself throbbing in his palm. Every instinct is telling him to thrust into his grasp and he has to pull his attention away from it all as the heat sears through his veins like fire. He pulls his focus from the pleasure and turns it to the feel of Chanyeol's hand on his skin. The pads of his fingers are less rough and more slick with each stroke, precome smearing down his cock and sending little shivers skittering across his skin. For every three strokes there's a squeeze around the head, Chanyeol running his palm over it after and sliding down to the base before starting the pattern over.
Unlike the night before, he feels the end approaching, a slow pooling of heat and pressure in all the right places, his body pliant and resting on Chanyeol as he continues his steady strokes. He pulls in a slow breath and his toes curl when he comes, his body going rigid and his fingers digging into his sheets as Chanyeol kisses along his neck. It's by far the strongest orgasm he's experienced, wracking through his body with dull pleasure instead of a sharp spike. Chanyeol doesn't stop moving his hand and Joonmyun has to pull it away because he's too sensitive.
Chanyeol laces their fingers together and Joonmyun lets him even though his fingers are covered in come. He's not even concerned that they've dirtied a second set of sheets and he doesn't have any clean ones left until he gets around to doing the laundry. He lets his eyes slip closed and just enjoys the feel of Chanyeol behind him, holding him and running his nose into the crook of his shoulder. He jerks and lets out a giggle when he trails across a ticklish spot. That's when Joonmyun notices the hardness pressing into his ass. He untangles himself and rolls over in an attempt to return the favor, but Chanyeol pulls away. "There's something I've always wanted to try." And despite the mischievous glint in his eyes, Joonmyun allows himself to be pulled out of bed.
What Chanyeol wants to try is sex in the shower, which really is a terrible idea, but Joonmyun can't bring himself to crush his enthusiasm. A sopping wet Chanyeol ends up running back into the bedroom for the lube and Joonmyun hears him cursing after a loud thump resonates into the bathroom. He's still laughing when Chanyeol lifts him and he wraps his legs around his waist, trying to find something to hold on to. The lube ends up getting watered down and it burns more when Chanyeol sinks into him the first time, but it's all forgotten when he changes the angle and fucks him with strong, fast snaps of his hips. He's pretty sure they broke the frame to the shower door when his hand started slipping and most of his weight landed on the thin metal that holds it closed. He'll worry about that later.
By the time they're actually clean and kinda dressed - tshirts and boxers totally count as dressed - it's passed breakfast, but Joonmyun makes pancakes anyway. Chanyeol has just pulled him down into his lap for a syrupy kiss when there's a knock at the door. A very loud, demandingly familiar knock. Jongin is a sneaky bastard.
"I'm so sorry," Joonmyun says as he cringes and leaves the warmth of Chanyeol's arms.
"You aren't answering my calls," Jongin huffs as he walks inside like he owns the place. Wufan shoots him a sympathetic look, which is all he can probably hope for from him. Shutting the door, he turns and finds himself looking up at an annoyed Jongin.
"Why didn't you -"
"Oh, you must be Chanyeol." Wufan's voice is loud and it attracts all their attention. Joonmyun can feel his stomach falling into a pit of despair as Jongin practically runs into the kitchen, stopping only when he runs into his boyfriend's back. "I'm Wufan and this is my nagging wife -" Joonmyun enters in time to see Jongin elbow Wufan in the ribs. "I mean, this is Jongin."
"Best friend extraordinaire." And Jongin fucking curtsies.
Chanyeol doesn't miss a beat, smiling that gorgeous smile of his and greeting them warmly.
"Are those pancakes?"
So much for getting Jongin out of his house before he manages to screw this up for him. Joonmyun sighs and goes to help the guy before he destroys his kitchen - again. His nerves calm a little when Chanyeol rests a warm hand on his thigh as they sit at the table. It's amazing how much food Jongin can cram into that stomach of his.
"So Chanyeol," Jongin starts and he just knows it's going to be trouble. "What are your intentions with my Joonmyun?"
Wufan clamps a hand over his boyfriend's mouth. "What he means is - it's nice to see Joonmyun happy, right babe?" Jongin cuts his eyes so Wufan just nods his head for him before letting go.
"Have you had sex yet?"
"KIM JONGIN! You're the reason people run screaming from me!" Joonmyun picks up the closest object, a roll of paper towels, and hurls it across the table at Jongin who manages to duck out of the way. Jongin is yelling something back at him, but he doesn't know what it is because a deep voice cuts through it and everyone shuts up.
Jongin is appeased and Joonmyun is left gaping at the man sitting beside him as the hand on his leg squeezes a bit tighter and he flashes him a smile. They manage to make it through an entire afternoon with Jongin and his abrasiveness doesn't affect Chanyeol at all. Joonmyun is practically giddy with delight.
It should probably bother him when Chanyeol all but moves in a few months later, but he cooks every morning and gives the most amazing back massages when Joonmyun's had a particularly long day at work. So when they're snuggled in bed, too tired to do anything but sleep, he just pulls him closer and buries his face in his chest. And Chanyeol wraps an arm around his waist and kisses the top of his head before they drift off.
